These cupcakes and cake were for a children's book themed baby shower that had a slight emphasis on Peter Pan.  I used the adorable invites, designed by Wade Keller, as inspiration for the fun colors and playful patterns.  To top it off, the text was one of the mommy-to-be's favorite quotes from Peter Pan:

"Second star to the right and straight on till morning... that was the way to Neverland."

These fall treats were for a harvest party.  Unfortunately hurricane Sandy came through and cancelled the party, but at least I got to enjoy them through the storm and power outages!

These cuties were for Sarah and Ian Riccaboni's wedding.  The colors of the wedding were a lapis purple with accents of various very autumn flowers.  And the cupcake "wedding cake" fit perfectly with the fun, cute, and relaxed atmosphere of the wedding and of the bride and groom!

This whimsical Wizard of Oz cake was for a 50th birthday party with a Wizard of Oz theme.  I decided to capture each of the four main characters through different representational patterns and materials.  Around the bottom tier Dorothy's friends the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion are represented.  While the top tier is Dorothy, of course, topped with the yellow brick road and the emerald city.

It's time for an "Itsy Bitsy Spider" themed birthday party!  So of course the party wouldn't be complete without some itsy bitsy cupcakes to go along with the cake inspired by the classic nursery rhyme.  And what birthday boy doesn't deserve his very own miniature cake?

I did this square beauty for Kate and Steve Tornone's wedding.  The cute and contemporary summery feel of the wedding inspired the shape and yellow gradient.  While the piped lace pattern was a nod to Kate's family wedding traditions, copied from a drawing her Mom did of Kate's grandmother's wedding veil, bringing past and present together beautifully.
